Support Hebron pre-schools

If you couldn’t make it to the Festival on Saturday you can still support our pre-school projects in the South Hebron Hills by making a tax-deductible donation to the Kindergarten Appeal. By donating to this appeal you will be helping support early childhood education facilities for Palestinian communities in the south Hebron hills.

We still have some ceramic pieces and kuffiyehs from Hebron and they will be on sale at the Addison Road Winter Magic Festival on Saturday 30th June – we will be there from approximately 1-5pm.

A great range of Hebron ceramics will be available exclusively at the Festival

We are pleased to announce that a selection of handmade ceramics direct from Hebron will be sold at our festival on 23 June, 2012. All proceeds will go to support our kindergarden projects in the South Hebron Hills. These ceramics have been produced in the Hebron Glass and Ceramics Factory. Kuffiyahs – Direct From Hebron

They have arrived! We are very excited to announce that we have received another lot of kuffiyahs, direct from the Herbawi textile factory in Hebron. Our last batch sold out in one day at our Festival of Friendship, 2011 and we aniticapte that these kuffyahs will be snapped up in no time. We have a selection of both colour and the traditional black and white kuffiyahs.

We will be selling the kuffiyahs at upcoming events so stay posted to know where we we’ll be. This week we will have a stall at the Miko Peled lecture, Moving towards a democracy in Israel/Palestine.

Our kuffiyehs have arrived!

As we announced recently, we’re thrilled to have genuine Palestinian kuffiyehs from the Hirbawi factory in Hebron for sale at this year’s Festival of Friendship. As well as the traditional black & white pattern, we have a number of scarves in an array of colours, as you can see here:

The Hirbawi Textile factory is the only remaining kuffiyeh factory still operating in Palestine, so by sourcing our stock from the Hirbawi family we’re able to support the Palestinian economy and help to preserve a significant piece of Palestinian culture.

Herbawi kuffiyehs at the Hebron Festival of Friendship

The Herbawi kuffiyeh factory is the last remaining producer of genuine Palestinian kuffiyehs in the West Bank, and as well as the traditional black-and-white checkered scarf the Herbawi family also make stunning multi-coloured versions. This year, Leichhardt Friends of Hebron is very proud to announce that we’ve managed to source a selection of kuffiyehs direct from the Herbawi factory, and will have them on sale as part of the indoor market at the Festival of Friendship on June 18th.
