Highlights of the Festival include market stalls, great coffee, delicious food & drink, our new photography exhibition, Steadfastness, a forum investigating the situation in Hebron and the Australian premiere of the award-winning documentary, Roadmap to Apartheid, narrated by Alice Walker. You can admire the uniquely colourful ceramic pieces from Hebron, perfect for your home or that special gift; buy organic olive oil soap or a kuffiyeh, the traditional chequered scarf; or browse our bookstall with hundreds of new and second-hand books of all types, then sit back and relax with a coffee and a snack while our musicians entertain you. Above all, come and have fun!
PROGRAMME
12 midday: Doors open for market stalls, food, drink,
great coffee and our new photography exhibition.
All Day: Photo Exhibition: “Steadfastness” with images taken by volunteers with the Ecumenical Accompaniment Program in Palestine and Israel during the 3 months Feb – May, 2012.
Market: Buy colourful ceramics , made by Palestinian hands in Al Khalil (Hebron), hand-made organic olive oil soap or a kuffiyeh, the traditional chequered scarf.

Speakers: Randa Abdel-Fattah,writer and lawyer, human rights and social justice advocate;
Kolin Thumbadoo, South African Anti-Apartheid veteran, former president, Australian Anti-Apartheid Movement:
Ghassan Hage Future Generation Professor of Anthropology and Social Theory at Melbourne University.
Moderated by Antony Loewenstein, the Sydney-based independent freelance journalist and author.
5pm: Chanteuse Ihsan brings the sounds of the Middle East to Leichhardt
6pm: “Roadmap to Apartheid” the Australian premiere of this award-winning film narrated by Alice Walker.
7:30pm: More music, wine bar open and delicious food from our cafe.
